The Foundation of Red Cardigan Kids™

Rooted in the research behind Waiting for Mister Rogers, our mission is inclusive. We offer support to children of all attachment styles and backgrounds. We prioritize emotional safety as the cornerstone of secure attachments and meaningful interactions. Inspired by Dr. Karyn Purvis and her Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), we emphasize connection, healing, and trust as transformative forces.

What Makes Red Cardigan Kids™ Unique?

Attachment and Emotional Wellness: Our trauma-informed care helps children and caregivers address unresolved issues and rebuild trust. For example, one caregiver shared how understanding attachment principles transformed her relationship with her son, leading to stronger communication and a deeper bond. Another child found newfound confidence through playful, emotional learning exercises.
Practical, Playful Learning: We make complex ideas accessible through role-playing, mindfulness exercises, and teamwork-focused games.

Programs for Children and Caregivers

Our programs nurture emotional intelligence for all ages. For children, we integrate role-playing, mindfulness, and collaborative games. Inspired by Mister Rogers, we cultivate kindness, understanding, and emotional intelligence while emphasizing the interconnectedness of all people. We use restorative justice practices, trade books, and loving discipline to create safe spaces.

For adults, our parenting classes simplify and enrich caregiving with practical tools and insights.
